Determine cloud and pour point of given sample of oil.

Determine cloud and pour point of given sample of oil. THEORY: - 1. CLOUD POINT:- It is the temperature in a standardized test at which cloudiness develops due to separation of wax. At this temperature solid matter begins to crystallize out and separate out. The cloud point occurs at higher temperature than the pour point. 2. POUR POINT:- It is the temperature at which the oil will stop to flow then cooled under specified conditions. Lubricating oils which are mixture of various hydro carbons, behave like a portion of their constituents before the whole mixture solidifies upon cooling. The setting point of oil will therefore temperature at which solid matter commences to separate or the temperature at which the oil completely loses its fluidity. Oil containing paraffin’s temperature at which separation of solid paraffin is observed to commence is recorded as cloud point for mineral oil which contain no paraffin’s the separation can not be seen up on cooling of this oil.

Demonstration of Safety in Garage

DEMONSTRATION OF SAFETY IN GARAGE GENERAL SAFETY RULES Do not block or obstruct stairwells, exits or accesses to safety and emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers or fire alarms.Straighten or remove rugs and mats that do not lie flat on the floor.Use a ladder or step stool to retrieve or store items that are located above your head.Use the handle when closing doors, drawers and files.Obey all posted safety and danger signs.Use caution signs/cones to barricade slippery areas such as freshly mopped floors.

Demonstrate working of two stroke S.I. engines, four stroke SI engine and C.I. engines.

AIM : Demonstrate working of two stroke S.I. engines, four stroke SI engine and C.I. engines. 2- Stroke Engine: The two stroke engine is a reciprocating engine in which the piston does two time movement ( i.e. TDC to BDC and BDC to TDC ) to produce a power stroke Upward stroke: During upward stroke, the piston moves from BDC to TDC and compresses the charge (air-fuel mixture) in the combustion chamber of the cylinder. Because of the upward movement of the piston a partial vacuum is created in the crankcase and this allows the entry of the fresh charge into the crankcase through uncovered inlet port. The exhaust port and the inlet port remains covered when the piston at the TDC. The ignition of the fresh charge is takes place by the spark plug. Downward stroke: As soon as the combustion of the fresh charge takes place, a large amount of the hot gases is produced which exerts a very high pressure force on the top of the piston. Due to this high pressure force, the p

To study about the lubricating system its additives, components

To study about the lubricating system its additives, components OBJECTIVES:- To get knowledge about the lubricating system its additives, components. INTRODUCTION:- Lubrication system is used in the engine to run the engine by keeping wear proof, and working it without getting over heat, and keep the parts smooth and easily movable. An Automatic Lubrication System, often referred to as a Centralized Lubrication System, generally comprises a controller or timer, a pump and reservoir, metering valves and fittings and supply and feed lines.
